Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, the husband of former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has passed away at the age of 62.
The Adeosun family announced his death in a statement on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, revealing that he died in Lagos State.
The family described Anthony, fondly known as Niyi, as a respected businessman, devoted Christian, and a man whose life was marked by kindness, integrity, and dedication to those around him.
“It is with profound sorrow, yet in total submission to the will of Almighty God, that the Adeosun family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, and brother, Mr Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, who was called home to glory on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, in Lagos,” the statement said.
According to the family, Anthony’s legacy was built on hard work, faith, service, and a strong commitment to his family and community.
He is survived by his wife, Kemi Adeosun, his children, and siblings.
