Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has blamed poor parenting for some of the societal problems and delinquency witnessed today, saying many parents are responsible for raising the “monsters” in society.
In a post shared on social media, Etinosa criticized the generational cycle of domestic abuse and corporal punishment, urging the younger generation to break the cycle.
The actress argued that many women in the past remained in abusive marriages where their husbands physically assaulted them. According to her, this may have inadvertently taught their sons that violence against women is acceptable.
She also criticized parents who believe that beating is the only way to discipline a child, noting that such practices can teach children to resort to violence when dealing with conflicts.
Etinosa called on the younger generation to reject these harmful parenting patterns and raise their children without violence, stressing the need to break the cycle of abuse and promote healthier ways of raising children.
