Media personality Frank Edoho has sparked debate online over infidelity and forgiveness in marriage.
Edoho argued that when a husband forgives a cheating wife, it often leads to further resentment rather than reconciliation. According to him, women who cheat have usually “checked out” of the marriage emotionally long before the affair happens.
He suggested that once a woman reaches that point, a husband’s willingness to forgive may be seen as a sign of weakness, which could lead to even more disrespect toward both the man and the marriage.
“If a wife cheats and asks her husband for forgiveness and he forgives her, she will not only continue cheating, but also resent the man for forgiving her and disrespect him in extreme ways until he gets the ultimate message — she checked out of the marriage long before she cheated,” he wrote.
