The White House on Friday mocked newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with a social media post that mimicked the couple’s Madison Square Garden (MSG) wedding announcement.
On July 3, pop superstar Taylor Swift married NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Following the ceremony, digital billboards outside the venue displayed the message “JUST MARRIED” to celebrate the couple’s wedding. The White House’s official X account later shared an edited image of the billboard, replacing the original message with the words, “Trump is your president.”
The post was captioned, “IT’S HAPPENED!!!”
The social media jab comes nearly two years after President Donald Trump publicly criticized Swift following her endorsement of then-Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election.
In a Truth Social post at the time, Trump wrote in all capital letters, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” without providing any further explanation.
