Troops of Sector 8, Operation Enduring Peace, have responded to an alleged attack on a farmer by suspected herders in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Military sources told security analyst Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 7:00 p.m. on July 11, 2026, at Jwakp Maitumbi Village.
The victim, identified as Mr. Timothy Titus, was reportedly attacked by suspected herders and sustained multiple machete wounds during the assault.
Upon arrival at the scene, the troops found the victim with several injuries and immediately evacuated him to the General Hospital, Mangu, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
Security sources said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspected perpetrators, while investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
