Iran’s parliament reportedly considering €50m bounty on Trump and Netanyahu

Iran is reportedly considering placing massive bounties on the heads of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to Mail Online, Iran’s parliament is expected to vote on a proposal to offer a €50 million (£43.5 million) reward to anyone who assassinates either the US president or the Israeli prime minister.

The move is reportedly being discussed as retaliation for the alleged killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, during US-Israel strikes at the start of the current conflict.

Chairman of Iran’s National Security Commission, Ebrahim Azizi, said parliament was preparing a bill titled “Reciprocal Action by Military and Security Forces of the Islamic Republic.”

According to Iranian state television, Azizi said: “As Trump ordered the killing of Ali Khamenei, he himself should be dealt with by every Muslim and every free person.”

Trump had previously warned that any assassination attempt by Iran would trigger “very strict orders” to “wipe them off the face of the Earth.”

Another member of Iran’s National Security Commission, Mahmood Nabavian, also confirmed that a vote on the proposal was imminent, saying the reward under consideration would be for sending “Mr Trump and Netanyahu to hell.”

Nabavian wrote: “Threats against the Supreme Leader and military commanders have again been heard from the filthy mouths of some enemy officials.

“The vile American and Zionist officials, as well as the heads of regional countries, should know that if any aggression takes place this time, we will destroy them along with their palaces.”

Meanwhile, a reported “full-scale” US attack on Iran planned for today was allegedly called off after Trump reportedly changed his mind at the last minute.

The report claimed US forces were stood down after Middle Eastern leaders personally appealed to Trump to allow more time for negotiations over a nuclear deal.
