Trump repeatedly criticized Khan, calling him a “terrible” mayor and blaming him for what he described as London’s decline. “I look at London, where you have a terrible mayor, terrible, terrible mayor, and it’s been so changed,” he said. “Now they want to go to Sharia law.”

The remarks came during a lengthy section of his address warning about the impact of migration in Europe. “Europe has been invaded by a force of illegal aliens like nobody has ever seen before,” Trump said, adding that “both immigration and their suicidal energy ideas will be the death of Western Europe if something is not done immediately.”

He also accused the United Nations of “funding an assault on Western countries and their borders,” insisting that Europe was in “serious trouble” and that its current policies were unsustainable.

Returning to London, Trump reiterated his claim that the city had been transformed under Khan’s leadership. “Now they want to go to Sharia law. But you are in a different country, you can’t do that,” he declared.

Experts have dismissed Trump’s claims as baseless. While Khan is Muslim, UK law remains secular. Sharia principles in Britain are applied only in limited civil matters through voluntary arbitration tribunals, which cannot override national legislation.
