Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has weighed in on the renewed rift between PSquare twins, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and Peter Okoye (Mr. P), suggesting the latest public fallout might have been avoided if Paul had exercised more restraint.
The brothers have once again found themselves at the center of public attention after Peter made comments explaining why he does not consider teaching the Igbo language to his children a top priority. Paul’s reaction to those remarks reportedly sparked fresh tensions, leading Peter to begin sharing his side of the long-running family dispute on social media.
Reacting to the situation in a Facebook post, Doyle questioned why Paul would publicly mock his own twin brother, arguing that such actions only fueled an already sensitive family matter.
According to Doyle, if Paul had chosen not to criticize Peter over his comments, the long-running PSquare saga may never have resurfaced in such a public way.
He wrote:
“We might never have gotten to hear the full story of the PSquare saga if Rudeboy had the restraint not to put Mr. P down after his published comments about not prioritising the Igbo language for his children.
Sometimes a little restraint is a good thing. Why would anyone launch a trolling campaign against his own brother? Now that Mr. P has decided to give us the full gist, his brothers are not looking so good.”
