Former Senator Sati Gogwim of Plateau has died. He died after a protracted illness on Tuesday, April 6.
Gogwim was said to have been ill since last year. He was flown abroad for treatment and returned on April 4 after he was certified fit by the doctors. However, on Tuesday , he had a relapse and was rushed to the hospital where the doctors confirmed him dead.
Gogwim was elected as senator representing Plateau Central in 2007 and spent four years at the National Assembly before losing to Sen. Joshua Dariye in 2011.
