Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has addressed the role of his former bandmate, Faze, in the long-standing rift between him and Blackface.
Speaking midway through his performance at the Made in Benue Festival in Makurdi, 2Face emphasized that Faze has always remained neutral in the feud that has followed the legendary group, Plantashun Boiz, for years. According to him, any issues between himself and Blackface have nothing to do with Faze.
“You all know that Plantashun Boiz consisted of Blackface, 2Face, and Faze. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, Blackface is not with us right now. However, no matter the beef between me and Blackface, it does not concern Faze,” 2Face told the crowd.
He added that Faze was present with him at the event to represent the iconic group, stressing that Faze has never taken sides in the dispute.
The rift between 2Face and Blackface dates back to the early 2000s after the group disbanded. Blackface has repeatedly accused 2Face of intellectual property theft, allegations the singer has consistently denied.
Despite several reconciliation attempts over the years, the relationship between the two former bandmates has remained strained, with peace efforts often collapsing shortly after they begin.
