Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, is celebrating his 72nd birthday today, September 27, 2026.
Born on September 27, 1954, Bishop Oyedepo has spent more than four decades in Christian ministry and is widely known as the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel.
His 72nd birthday has attracted messages from members of the Christian community and prominent Nigerians who are celebrating his years of ministry and service.
Tinubu Celebrates Oyedepo at 72
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Bishop Oyedepo on his birthday, describing his life as one devoted to faith, service, leadership and human development.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President highlighted Oyedepo’s contributions to education and human-capital development through institutions including Covenant University and Landmark University.
Tinubu also acknowledged the Bishop’s work in publishing, leadership development and humanitarian activities associated with his ministry and the David Oyedepo Foundation.
The President prayed for Bishop Oyedepo to receive continued wisdom, strength and renewed grace as he continues his service to God and humanity.
Christian Leaders Send Birthday Messages
Other Christian leaders have also celebrated the cleric.
Pastor Paul Enenche, founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, described Oyedepo as a gift to the Christian body and praised his decades of commitment to preaching the Gospel.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki also sent birthday messages, highlighting Oyedepo’s contributions to education, mentorship, philanthropy and human development.
