Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have reportedly welcomed their first child together via a surrogate.
According to TMZ, the 40-year-old singer and Polansky welcomed a daughter, named Rose Bean Polansky, on June 9 at 11:19 p.m. at Los Angeles’ famed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The couple reportedly chose to use a surrogate for the birth.
While the reason for the surrogacy remains unclear, Gaga has previously been open about her battle with fibromyalgia, a condition associated with widespread pain and fatigue.
A birth certificate obtained by TMZ reportedly revealed the couple’s newborn daughter’s name and sex, along with details surrounding her birth.
The baby was reportedly delivered by Dr. Robert Katz, an OB/GYN who has also delivered the daughter of Ciara and Russell Wilson, Sienna Princess.
The name Rose has a special connection to Gaga. Her maternal grandmother was the late Veronica Rose “Ronnie” Ferrie Bissett.
Gaga also has the words “La Vie En Rose” tattooed down her spine, referencing the iconic French song she performed in A Star Is Born.
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and Polansky have been together since 2019. The couple became engaged in April 2024.
