Gunmen have killed an executive of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Emmanuel Agara, in Plateau State.
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), Sector 3, discovered Agara’s body with a gunshot wound in Dantanko community, Bassa Local Government Area, after responding to a distress report.
Security sources said the troops were deployed to the area at about 6:50 a.m. on June 16, 2026, following reports of a suspicious incident.
Upon arrival, they found the lifeless body of Emmanuel Agara, who had sustained a gunshot wound.
The area was immediately cordoned off by security personnel, while the body was evacuated for further investigation and other necessary procedures.
Authorities said investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the killing and to identify those responsible.
Security operatives have since intensified patrols in the area to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
