US President Donald Trump has criticized the 68th Annual Grammy Awards and threatened legal action against host Trevor Noah following a controversial joke made about him during the broadcast.
In a series of posts on Truth Social shortly after the ceremony, Trump called the awards show “virtually unwatchable” and labeled Noah “a total loser,” accusing him of making false statements during his on-air monologue.
The controversy stems from a joke Noah made while announcing the Song of the Year winner. He quipped that the award was coveted by artists “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” adding, “since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.” The punchline referenced the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and his private Caribbean island.
Trump’s reaction has sparked discussion online, highlighting tensions between celebrities and political figures when pop culture intersects with controversial humor.
