The wife of embattled content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaaba, has continued to defend her husband, insisting that he was set up following his arrest by the Delta State Police Command over the alleged sexual assault and subsequent suicide of 20-year-old Favour Agbro.
In a newly released video, she clarified that a viral clip showing her husband kneeling at a police station was not an admission of guilt.
According to her, Odogwu Asaaba was merely pleading with the deceased’s parents to help protect his public image. She alleged that his adversaries recorded the interaction and circulated it because they had no concrete evidence against him.
Maintaining her husband’s innocence, she denied the allegations of rape and homicide, insisting that his interaction with Favour was consensual. She described the incident as a “transaction gone wrong.”
She said:
“Favour gave her consent. She was not forced. She wanted it. Odogwu did not rape Favour. Even if they want to do this case whichever way they want to do it, I will still stand on my ground that Odogwu did not rape Favour. Why Favour unalived herself is something I am still asking myself till today.”
