Samsung has confirmed that several Galaxy smartphones and tablets will receive the Android 17 update, which will roll out as One UI 9 in the coming months.
Android 17 is expected to launch later this summer, with Samsung likely beginning its rollout on its latest flagship devices, including the Galaxy S26 series. Other eligible devices will then receive the update in phases.
Samsung currently provides between three and seven years of Android software support, depending on the device model. Premium devices such as the Galaxy S26 lineup are expected to receive longer update cycles, while older models may not get access to some of the more advanced AI-powered features due to hardware limitations.
Eligible flagship devices include the Galaxy S26, S25, S24, and S23 series, as well as foldable models such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Fold 6, Fold 7, Flip 5, Flip 6, and Flip 7.
Several mid-range and budget devices are also expected to receive Android 17. These include selected Galaxy A, Galaxy M, Galaxy F, and Galaxy XCover models released from 2023 onward.
Some of the eligible Galaxy A series phones include the A57 5G, A56 5G, A55 5G, A54 5G, A36 5G, A35 5G, A25 5G, A24, as well as the A17, A16, and A15 series.
One UI 9 is also expected to arrive alongside the update, bringing design refinements, performance improvements, and expanded AI features on supported devices.
Samsung is also expected to update a range of Galaxy tablets, including Galaxy Tab S and Galaxy Tab A models released in recent years.
However, the company has not yet released an official rollout schedule for One UI 9.
