Miguel Díaz-Canel warns of ‘bloodbath’ if US launches military action against Cuba

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has warned that a US military assault on Cuba would “cause a bloodbath with incalculable consequences” amid renewed tensions between Havana and Washington.

In a post on X, Díaz-Canel said Cuba “poses no threat” to any country and has no aggressive intentions toward the United States or any other nation, adding that “the government of that nation knows well” that position.

He also condemned what he described as repeated threats of US military action, calling them “well-known” and warning that such threats amount to an “international crime.”

“If it were to materialize, it would trigger a bloodbath with incalculable consequences, plus the destructive impact on regional peace and stability,” he added.
