Activist Aisha Yesufu has called on the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, to address environmental concerns in the state, which many residents claim has a persistent odor.
In a post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Yesufu noted that during the tenure of former Governor Babatunde Fashola, criticisms about the state’s cleanliness were met with action rather than defensiveness. She recalled that Fashola responded by rolling up his sleeves and working to improve conditions.
Yesufu urged Commissioner Wahab to follow that example by acting on public feedback and taking concrete steps to ensure a cleaner, healthier Lagos.
