FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, said emergency officials were promptly deployed to the scene and are actively managing the situation.
He disclosed that the agency’s emergency response team swiftly mobilised to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading, reassuring the public that no casualties were recorded.
“We are aware of the outbreak and are on the ground. We will issue an official statement shortly. Our firefighting team is currently responding and working to bring the situation under control. No loss of life has been recorded. Further updates will be provided,” he said.
Passengers and other airport users have been advised to remain calm as officials work to fully extinguish the fire and assess the extent of damage to the facility.
