Nigerian Woman Slams Umuada for Accepting Tea and Bread at Burial of 26-Year-Old Lady

A Nigerian woman, Nenye Uzowulu, has criticised the Umuada women’s group for allegedly eating bread and drinking tea during the burial of a 26-year-old woman.

The funeral service for the deceased, Nweke Chidera Jennifer, was held on July 5, 2025.

Expressing her disapproval in a social media post, Uzowulu wrote:
“A girl of 26 years old died prematurely. Not even married. Yet… Umuada went there and were drinking tea. Kai! No single empathy.”

Her comments have sparked conversations online about respect, empathy, and cultural sensitivity during funerals.
