Rapper and activist Falz has described the 2020 #EndSARS protests as one of the most intense periods of his life.
During an appearance on the #WithChude Live show in Lagos, Falz reflected on the emotional and mental toll the protests took on him, but expressed that he has no regrets. “I was taught never to regret doing what I believe is right,” he shared. “The connection we all felt—it was monumental.”
Falz emphasized that his activism stems from a deep sense of compassion and humanity, rather than the desire for applause or recognition. He also acknowledged his father, renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, as a significant influence on his values.
Through his music and advocacy, Falz continues to speak out against injustice and police brutality in Nigeria, using his platform to raise awareness and encourage change.
