Former President Muhammadu Buhari has conveyed his deep sorrow and distress regarding the tragic loss of numerous soldiers who lost their lives in an ambush, followed by a helicopter crash in Niger State.
“I am deeply saddened by the helicopter accident, which occurred in the wake of the tragic ambush that resulted in the loss of our courageous army personnel,” stated Buhari on Saturday, as conveyed through a release by his media aide, Garba Shehu.
“My heartfelt sympathies go out to the families who have lost their loved ones. I extend my hopes for a swift recovery to those who have been injured.”
Buhari also conveyed his sincere condolences to President Bola Tinubu, the Armed Forces of the Federation, and the families of the deceased.
“Given the unwavering discipline of our soldiers, I am confident that they will overcome these challenges in due time,” remarked the former president.
