Big Brother Naija star and former beauty queen Beauty Tukura has sparked conversations online after urging Nigerians to prepare for the 2027 general elections.
The reality TV personality took to social media to encourage eligible Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Cards and be prepared to participate in the next election.
In a strongly worded message, Beauty said she does not want to find herself having to sell akara, while quickly adding that her statement was not intended to disrespect akara sellers.
She wrote:
“I don’t know about you but God knows I don’t want to sell ‘Akara’, and honestly this is no disrespect to akara sellers.”
She then called on Nigerians to get their PVCs and prepare to vote and defend their votes in 2027.
Her comment has generated reactions because she connected personal economic aspirations with civic participation.
