Influencer Ash Trevino has pleaded guilty to welfare fraud and healthcare fraud charges in Texas, bringing a legal case that drew attention because of a series of additional allegations made by prosecutors.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors alleged that Trevino had relationships with between 50 and 75 inmates in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice over several years. The filings claimed that some of the inmates were incarcerated for serious offences, including aggravated robbery and murder.
Prosecutors also alleged that Trevino used her social media following to solicit money on TikTok in exchange for revealing health information involving a dependent.
The court filings further included allegations about Trevino’s social media activity, including claims that she had appeared in sexually explicit videos and livestreams.
Trevino was initially arrested in December 2025 over outstanding warrants. She was later released on bond, but authorities took her back into custody in March 2026 after she was accused of violating the terms of her release.
She was subsequently prosecuted on welfare fraud and healthcare fraud charges. This week, Trevino pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to two years of community supervision rather than additional jail time.
Her sentence also includes 120 hours of community service, completion of an anti-theft course and financial counselling. In addition, she was ordered to pay $16,799.95 in restitution to the state.
