Justice Chidiebere, the popular social critic known as Justice Crack, was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, May 4.
His court appearance follows his arrest by the Nigerian Army on April 26. In a statement released on Saturday, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Appolonia Anele, explained the reasons for his detention. According to the military, Justice Crack’s recent social media posts—highlighting soldiers’ grievances over feeding and welfare—went beyond advocacy.
The Army further alleged that a deeper investigation showed his actions were aimed at inciting discontent and rebellion within the ranks.
