Nigerian single mother and divorcee, Gladys Akibhor, has opened up about the abuse she allegedly suffered during her marriage, sharing a photo of herself and her baby.
The photo shows a scar on her left ear, which she says is a permanent reminder of her ex-husband’s alleged abuse.
According to Gladys, her ex-husband allegedly threatened to leave her with a mark she would never forget and later carried out the threat by cutting her ear.
Sharing her story in a Facebook post on Saturday, June 20, 2026, she wrote:
“A proud divorcee and single mum to my handsome boy. The scar on my ear, I got it from my past marriage.
“When my ex said to me, ‘I go give you mark you no go ever forget,’ I thought he was just saying it. Not until he cut my ear.
“Indeed, he gave me a mark that I will never forget, and I cannot wear earrings on that ear.”
