Viral footage has captured the moment a visibly pregnant woman was forcibly thrown to the ground by a police officer during a tense incident in Zeist, near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.
The video shows several police officers in a corridor interacting with a man and the pregnant woman. At the beginning of the clip, the officers are gathered nearby while the woman stands a short distance away with the man.
One officer approaches the woman and appears to speak with her. Moments later, another officer arrives carrying a baton and accompanied by a police dog.
The officer is then seen grabbing the woman by the arm before forcefully throwing her to the floor of the corridor. Following the incident, a man believed to be associated with the woman rushes forward and attempts to confront the officer. The situation quickly escalates, with additional officers intervening as a broader altercation breaks out.
In a subsequent clip, the woman appears dazed as officers drag her along the floor while bystanders watch the scene unfold. At the same time, other officers are seen restraining the man involved in the confrontation.
According to reports, the incident occurred at an asylum centre in the Netherlands, where police had responded to allegations of vandalism and threats involving a knife.
