Oyo abduction: “Please help us rescue our children; four of my grandchildren are with the kidnappers” — Elderly woman appeals to Gov Makinde

An elderly woman on Saturday, May 30, appealed to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to intensify efforts toward securing the release of the students and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking in Yoruba, the visibly distressed woman pleaded with the governor to help rescue her family members who are among those being held captive.

“Please help us for God’s sake. Have mercy on us. Four of my grandchildren and my daughter-in-law are with the kidnappers. My daughter-in-law, who is a teacher, is the one carrying a baby in the viral video. Please help us. Please help us rescue our children,” she said.
