Eric Murphy, the son of Eddie Murphy, and Jasmin Lawrence, the daughter of Martin Lawrence, have welcomed their first child together — a baby girl.
Eddie Murphy shared the news with E! News while attending his American Film Institute Life Achievement Award ceremony on Saturday, April 18.
“They just had a baby girl,” the Beverly Hills Cop star said. “They just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago. Yeah, Ari Skye.” When asked to share parenting tips for the couple, Murphy declined.
“Oh, you don’t give advice like that,” he explained. “Your kids don’t go by your advice. They go by the example you set. They watch you.”
Lawrence and Murphy confirmed their relationship in 2021 and tied the knot in 2025. When they announced their engagement in 2024, they wrote on Instagram, “God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.”
