American actor Quinton Aaron, best known for his role alongside Sandra Bullock in the inspirational sports biopic The Blind Side, is reportedly fighting for his life after suffering a serious fall at his home.

According to a GoFundMe campaign created to assist with his medical bills and family expenses, the actor has been hospitalised and is currently battling a severe blood infection. The fundraiser was launched following the incident, which left the 41-year-old actor in critical condition.

In a statement, Aaron’s manager, Katrina Fristoe, confirmed that he is receiving medical care and is surrounded by family. She also expressed gratitude for the support shown by fans and members of the media, while requesting privacy during this difficult period. She noted that further updates would be shared once Aaron’s condition improves.

Aaron rose to prominence for portraying former NFL star Michael Oher in The Blind Side, which chronicled Oher’s journey through high school and college football and was based on Michael Lewis’s bestselling book.

Reports indicate that Aaron was hospitalised in Atlanta, Georgia, where he has been receiving treatment for several days. His manager revealed that the actor fell after suddenly losing control of his legs while climbing the stairs to his apartment, causing him to tumble down the staircase.

While the GoFundMe page described Aaron as being on life support, his manager clarified that he is currently stable and has been able to communicate with his family and professional team. Doctors are still conducting tests to determine the exact cause of the fall and the subsequent complications.

As of Sunday evening, the GoFundMe campaign had raised just over $450 of its $10,000 goal from 14 donations.

This latest health scare comes months after Aaron was hospitalised in March 2025 after coughing up blood and experiencing a high fever. Although an official diagnosis was not disclosed at the time, reports suggested doctors suspected Type A flu and pneumonia.
