On Monday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, will inaugurate a significant road improvement project. This project includes the re-surfacing and rehabilitation of existing roads, as well as essential repairs on major bridges throughout the FCT.
In a statement released on Saturday, Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press at the Ministry, highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing the road infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Ogunleye explained that the re-surfacing project is set to encompass 135 roads across key areas such as Garki, Wuse, Gwarimpa, and Maitama Districts. This comprehensive undertaking is expected to rejuvenate these roads, providing them with a fresh lease of life.
The flag-off ceremony is scheduled to occur at 2pm along Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, Garki II, Abuja.
The statement noted that this marks the Minister’s inaugural large-scale infrastructural development project. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to accelerating the nation’s capital’s infrastructural growth.
