Cubana Chiefpriest claims that Bola Tinubu does not trust him because of his ethnicity and his past support for Peter Obi, days after losing the APC House of Representatives ticket.

Popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reacted to his defeat at the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orlu East House of Representatives seat in Imo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Initial reports indicated that he polled 14 votes in the exercise, losing the ticket to the incumbent lawmaker. The outcome reportedly sparked reactions and criticism on social media.

In an earlier statement, Okechukwu claimed he stepped down from the race after discovering that it was not yet the turn of his local government area to produce a candidate. However, during a recent live session with TikTok influencer Peller, he gave a different account of events.

He suggested that political bias may have played a role in the outcome, alleging that the administration of President Bola Tinubu might not fully trust him due to his ethnicity and his past political support for opposition figure Peter Obi.

The claims have not been independently verified, and neither the APC nor relevant officials have issued an official response to the allegations.
