Ondo Police Arrest 28-Year-Old Man for Killing Three Siblings

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly murdering his three siblings in the Okitipupa community.

DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the Command’s spokesperson, confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, April 8, 2026. According to him, the suspect, Femi Agbeye, reportedly attacked the victims with a machete.

“The Ondo State Police Command regrets to inform the public of a tragic and gruesome incident that occurred on April 7, 2026, in Okitipupa, Ondo State,” the statement read.

The statement added: “Mr. Agbeye of New Site, Doctors Road, Okitipupa, reported at the police station that his son, Femi Agbeye, aged 28, allegedly attacked his three siblings with a machete in his absence, resulting in their untimely deaths.

“The deceased have been identified as Bose Agbeye (20), Dupe Agbeye (7), and Blessing Agbeye (5), all members of the same family.

“Upon receiving the report, operatives of the Command promptly mobilized to the scene, where the victims were found lifeless. Their remains were evacuated and deposited at the State Specialist Hospital Morgue, Okitipupa, for preservation and autopsy.

“In a swift and coordinated operation, the suspect was apprehended on the same day and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

“The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, strongly condemns this heinous act and assures the public that justice will be pursued diligently. He also urges residents to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement by providing any useful information that may aid ongoing investigations.

“The Command reiterates its commitment to protecting lives and property and warns against all forms of violence within the society.”
