Paul Okoye has revealed the moment he realised his wife, Ivy Zenny, was the one for him.
In an interview with Clout Africa, the singer—known by his stage name Rudeboy—said marriage is enjoyable but not a “do-or-die” affair, adding that separation is sometimes part of the journey.
He explained that his experiences in past relationships have influenced some of his songs, including Reason With Me, which was inspired by an ex. After his first marriage ended, Paul dated three other women, but none met his expectations—until he met Ivy.
“I was looking for someone with whom I could be at peace, and Ivy was that person. She was just herself,” he said.
Paul shared a story about the first time he took Ivy shopping. She picked only two items and pointed out how the same money could buy many clothes at Tejuosho market. “That really moved me,” he recalled.
The host commented, “She was real.”
“Thank you,” Rudeboy responded.
Paul also addressed his legal case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stating that he has been cleared of any wrongdoing. “And I’ve been cleared, by the way, by the EFCC. In due time, we’ll put out the statement,” he said.
Paul Okoye was previously married to Anita Okoye, with whom he shares three children. He is now married to Ivy Zenny, and they have one daughter together.
