American rapper Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly been hospitalized after falling ill during a recent performance.

The 31-year-old music star was taken to the hospital after becoming “very ill” during her Broadway appearance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Tuesday, March 31.

She is currently undergoing evaluation, according to her hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, who appealed for prayers on X (formerly Twitter).

“Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital,” he wrote, alongside praying hands emojis.

A representative for Megan said: “During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.”

Speaking to TMZ, her team added: “We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”

Megan Thee Stallion made her Broadway debut in the show last week, taking on the role of Zidler at New York’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

According to social media reports, she had begun Tuesday’s performance appearing well, but the show was suddenly paused and she did not return to the stage.

She is scheduled to appear in Moulin Rouge! The Musical until May 17, though it remains unclear whether her illness will affect upcoming performances.
