Nollywood actor and movie producer Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, has shared positive news about Angela Okorie regaining her freedom following her bail hearing at an Abuja court.

Angela Okorie had earlier been arrested and detained, prompting Stanley Ontop to publicly intervene. He consistently updated fans on the court proceedings and even appealed to fellow actress Mercy Johnson to forgive and move on amid the controversy surrounding the case.

Taking to Instagram, Stanley Ontop confirmed that the actress had finally been released. He shared a collage of photos taken at the courthouse, showing himself alongside several individuals who accompanied him to support Okorie’s release. Expressing gratitude, he thanked God for the outcome and described the moment as significant.

Among those spotted in court was human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, who was seen engaging with lawyers during the proceedings. Additional photos also showed Stanley Ontop posing with friends and supporters who stood by him throughout the process.

The update sparked reactions from fans online, many of whom celebrated Angela Okorie’s release and congratulated her. Several praised Stanley Ontop for his efforts and persistence, while others advised the actress to be more cautious with her public statements moving forward, noting the potential consequences of controversial utterances. It will be recalled that days earlier, images of Angela Okorie at the courthouse had surfaced after she was transferred to the Suleja Correctional Centre. Reports indicated that her arrest was linked to an alleged failure to comply with court conditions after being granted bail in a previous case.
