President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to exercise caution and moderation during this year’s Christmas celebrations, particularly advising against the consumption of alcohol.

Speaking to journalists at his Lagos residence on Sunday, December 21, the President also reassured Nigerians that his administration is committed to defeating banditry and ensuring national security.

Tinubu said:

“We will continue to pray to God Almighty that the coming Christmas will be joyous for every one of us. This holiday will not be a disaster for Nigeria. God will bless all of you. You will stay in peace, rejoice in peace, dance in peace. No alcohol, no danger to anybody’s life.

Nigeria is making progress. God will bless you, will bless Lagos, and bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I assure you, we will defeat banditry and terrorism. God bless you!”
