The Super Falcons of Nigeria have dropped one spot to 37th in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings.
The updated rankings were released on Thursday, December 11, on the official website of the world’s governing football body. Nigeria did not play any matches during the last FIFA international window.
The Falcons, previously ranked 36th, have nonetheless retained their position as the top-ranked team in Africa. They are followed by South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, Ghana’s Black Princesses, Zambia’s Copper Queens, and Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses in the continent’s top five.
At the global level, Spain continues to hold the number one spot, with the United States, Germany, England, and Sweden rounding out the top five.
