A 29-year-old woman was brutally attacked and repeatedly stabbed by her former lover in a premeditated assault at her home in KZN, South Africa.
The incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday, May 11, 2025.
Reports indicate that the woman had returned to her residence on Goat Street, Waterloo, after attending a party. Shortly after her arrival, her ex-lover, who had been waiting for her, entered the house.
He accused her of being unfaithful, alleging that she had slept with other men. In a fit of rage, the suspect then produced a kitchen knife and repeatedly stabbed her until the blade broke.
The woman’s cries for help alerted nearby neighbors, which prompted the attacker to flee the scene.
The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to her head and body and was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the scene around 01:18 and conducted an extensive search for the suspect. However, he remains at large.
