UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has called on Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government to adopt her party’s deportation bill in order to reduce immigration.

In a video shared on her X handle, Badenoch warned that around two million immigrants could automatically claim “British Citizenship” by next year, urging Starmer to support the Conservative Party’s deportation bill. “From next year, two million immigrants could automatically claim British citizenship. That’s nearly twice the population of Birmingham,” Badenoch said. “We’ve introduced a deportation bill because we are committed to reducing immigration.”

On Tuesday, Badenoch unveiled a “deportation bill” designed to curb immigration. She outlined the key elements of the bill, which include deporting all foreign criminals, enforcing mandatory age checks, imposing stricter visa regulations, restricting the application of the Human Rights Act in immigration cases, requiring asylum seekers to repay support, and preventing individuals reliant on benefits from having permanent right to stay in the UK.

Badenoch added, “Until this becomes law, we won’t fix the issue. Labour should adopt it now. It’s time to get tough. That’s what the Conservative deportation bill delivers. Our country is a home, not a hotel.”
