A 25-year-old man in India has died after allegedly using a powerful adhesive on his genitals as an alternative to contraception during a sexual encounter, according to reports.
The man, identified as Salman Mirza, was reportedly staying at a hotel in Ahmedabad with his partner when the incident occurred. Authorities said the pair had allegedly been inhaling epoxy resin fumes before deciding to use the substance during intercourse because they did not have access to a condom.
Mirza, who was reportedly known to use drugs, was later discovered unconscious outside the hotel premises by an acquaintance. He was taken to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save him.
Reports stated that medical examinations revealed an unidentified green substance in his abdomen. Officials later confirmed that he died from multiple organ failure, although the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
According to local media reports, police believe the couple had gone to the hotel after taking drugs. A senior police officer said the adhesive was reportedly already in Mirza’s possession because he and his partner were known to inhale its fumes.
Following his death, Mirza’s family raised allegations against his former partner, claiming she may have been responsible for applying the adhesive. They filed a complaint accusing her of murder, though police have not confirmed any wrongdoing.
Authorities said forensic samples were collected and sent for analysis to determine what happened. An investigation is ongoing, and officials have stated that the exact cause of death has not yet been fully established.
Police records reportedly showed that Mirza and his partner arrived at the hotel on June 22, along with another woman, and CCTV footage captured them entering the premises. He was found unconscious the following day.
Mirza was said to be the main provider for his family, supporting his elderly parents and two sisters. His death has sparked concerns about the dangers of using unsafe substances in place of proper contraceptive methods and the risks associated with drug use.
