Despite the continued loss of lives from preventable boat mishaps in Nigeria, a man identified as Nagya from Niger State boarded a canoe without wearing a life jacket, saying he was trusting God for a safe journey.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, he wrote:
“This is my first time entering a canoe, and there is no life jacket. We are just trusting God. Please pray for us and wish us a safe journey.”
