Nollywood actress Etinosa has called on feminists to join her in speaking out against the alleged ill-treatment of women who visit clubs, bars, hotels, and other recreational spots without male companions.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, Etinosa said she has personally experienced such discrimination and has consistently challenged it.
She explained that during a difficult period in her marriage, she would visit clubs and bars to “drink her sorrow away,” but was often denied entry by security personnel because she was unaccompanied by a man.
Etinosa questioned why men are not subjected to similar treatment and stressed that not all women who go out alone are involved in “hookup” activities.
