Residents in parts of Western Australia were treated to a rare and striking natural display as the skies turned a deep red ahead of an approaching tropical cyclone.
The phenomenon was captured at a caravan park in Denham, where the sky and surroundings glowed an intense crimson, creating what observers described as an “incredibly eerie” atmosphere.
Reports indicate the dramatic colors appeared as Tropical Cyclone Narelle advanced toward the region. Experts explained that red skies can occur when strong winds from storms lift dust or other particles into the atmosphere, altering the way sunlight is scattered.
Although the cyclone was later downgraded to a subtropical storm, the vivid visuals left a lasting impression on residents and quickly drew attention online. Authorities continue to monitor weather conditions and urge residents to follow official forecasts.
