Liverpool manager Arne Slot has made it clear that playing exciting, entertaining football matters more to him than simply collecting trophies at Anfield.
Speaking on The Reds Roundtable, Slot reflected on last season’s Premier League title, saying the way his team played gave him just as much satisfaction as lifting the trophy itself.
“As a manager, you can win the league, the Champions League, the FA Cup, or the League Cup, but the biggest achievement is playing football that’s fun to watch,” Slot explained.
The Dutch tactician acknowledged that not all fans might agree with his approach, but he insisted his philosophy remains unchanged.
“Some supporters might argue with this, and that’s fine,” he said. “But I always want my team to have the ball, to play with intensity, and most importantly, I want the fans to enjoy what they see on the pitch.”
For Slot, success isn’t just measured in silverware—it’s about the joy of watching Liverpool play the kind of football that excites both players and fans alike.
