Online personality and activist Scott Iguma has expressed concern over what he describes as rising lawlessness and environmental neglect in parts of Lagos, particularly along the Lekki–Epe Expressway.
In a statement, Iguma highlighted the presence of traders allegedly selling cows, goats, and sheep in front of banks and other commercial premises along the busy corridor. He warned that such activities pose both environmental and public safety risks.
He also questioned the enforcement of Lagos State’s transport regulations, noting that despite an official ban on commercial motorcycles and tricycles in certain areas, they continue to operate openly without apparent sanctions.
According to Iguma, traffic violations such as driving against traffic have become increasingly common—not only among commercial riders but also among some bicycle-based food delivery operators.
He added that Lagos, once known for stricter order and regulatory enforcement, now appears to suffer from weakened oversight. Iguma urged the state government and relevant agencies to take urgent action to restore order and ensure compliance with existing laws.
