A young man identified simply as Abdulazeez has allegedly stabbed his childhood friend, Abubakar Sadiq, to death in Minna, Niger State.
The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025, at Dutsen Kura Hausa, Yoruba Street, during the Maghrib prayer.
Eyewitnesses said the incident began as a minor disagreement over sachet water meant for ablution, which quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.
During the altercation, Abubakar Sadiq reportedly sustained fatal stab wounds and was confirmed dead at the scene.
Following the incident, the suspect and the victim’s body were taken to the local vigilante office as tension rose within the community.
Reports said angry youths later gathered in the area, demanding instant justice over the killing.
