The Ekiti State Amotekun Corps has arrested 28-year-old Olapade Ifeoluwa for allegedly r@ping a seven-year-old girl.
Adeleye Adewale, Head of Communications for Ekiti Amotekun Corps, disclosed in a statement on Tuesday, December 16, 2026, that the suspect was apprehended at Ilawe Ekiti by operatives from the Ekiti Southwest Local Government for his alleged involvement in the crime.
“Upon interrogation by the arresting officers of the Ekiti Southwest Local Government Command, the suspect confessed to the crime,” the statement read.
“He admitted that the minor was lured to his apartment under the pretext of watching a film, where he allegedly committed the act. Following his arrest, he attributed his actions to the work of the devil.”
The father of the victim explained that his daughter’s cries during the incident at Ujana Street, Ilawe Ekiti, helped in her rescue as they attracted the attention of bystanders.
“The suspect and the victim have been taken to the Ekiti State Amotekun Headquarters in Ado Ekiti for further investigation and necessary action,” the statement added.
