Temi Otedola and singer Mr Eazi have shared the intense stress, back-and-forth, and disagreements they experienced before finalizing the countries for their destination weddings.
Planning three weddings across three countries in just three months was no easy feat for the couple. “Three weddings in three months is insane,” they admitted, highlighting the overwhelming nature of the process, especially with each event scheduled so close together.
Temi revealed that their original plan was to have a quiet court wedding in Nigeria, but privacy quickly became a concern. To solve this, an alternative was suggested: bringing court officials into their living room for a private civil ceremony. While Temi found the idea intriguing, Mr Eazi wasn’t entirely on board, which led to further discussions and delays.
Eventually, they agreed on Monaco for their civil wedding, a choice Temi described as more sentimental. Although the UK was also considered at one point, Temi confessed it didn’t feel personal enough to her.
What shocked her the most, however, was the complexity of marriage paperwork. “I thought getting married was just deciding and signing papers,” Temi said. “I didn’t know there was a mountain of administration.”
