Music executive Don Jazzy has reacted to a male X user who accused him and other men of “encouraging bad behaviour in women.”
The controversy began on Friday when a woman on X publicly asked Don Jazzy for a Christmas gift. When the music producer asked what she wanted, she requested assistance to clear her debt and additional funds to help her start an NGO focused on supporting people battling kidney ailments.
Many Nigerians criticised the request, describing it as inappropriate. In response, the woman explained that she was not poor but needed support to launch the NGO, which she said had long been her dream after losing a loved one to kidney disease.
Despite the backlash, Don Jazzy went ahead and gave the woman some money.
Reacting to the gesture, a male X user criticised Don Jazzy, claiming that such actions by men encourage bad behaviour among women. The music executive, however, spotted the comment and issued a response.
